2026 Spring Baseball

Season Schedule:

Practices begin week of March 16th. Expect 2-3 practices per week based on the coaches' availability. We understand, particularly during spring break, that your child may not be able to attend all practices.
Games begin week of April 6th. Expect 2 games per week and appx. one additional practice based on the coaches' availability.
Games end on June 5th.
Expect ONE game the week of JUCO *****- this is a change from previous years.****
Most games and practices are held Monday-Friday in the evenings.
Some Saturday games and practices are possible. Some Sunday practices are possible based on coach availability, but again we understand not all players will be able to attend.
Game schedules are typically available by the Friday before the start of games.

Division eligibility is determined by Little League league age. See the following calculator to determine your player's league age:

Rookies Baseball is a coed division, but please notice that we now offer Beginner Softball!

Beginner Softball is a girls softball division for the same ages as Rookie Baseball.
Beginner Softball is a new division for this year! Please consider registering your girl players for Beginner Softball!

Players may try out for a division above what they have registered for by the following rules:

8 year old players interested in trying out for Minors can do so. Please keep in mind that there is no guarantee that they will make a Minor team. 8 year old players not drafted to a Minor team will be placed on a Rookie team.
9 and 10 year old players interested in trying out for Majors can do so. Please keep in mind that there is no guarantee that they will make a Major team. 10 year old players not drafted to a Major team will be placed on a Minor team.
11-12 year old players interested in trying out for 50/70 can do so. Please keep in mind that there is no guarantee that they will make a 50/70 team. 11-12 year old players not drafted to a 50/70 team will be placed on a Major team.
13 year old players interested in trying out for Jr/Sr can do so. Please keep in mind that there is no guarantee that they will make a Jr/Sr team. 13 year old players not drafted to a Jr/Sr team will be placed on a 50/70 team.

Try out dates for Minors, Majors, 50/70, and Jr/Sr and will be announced at a later date. Tryouts will be in the first half of March.

All players are encouraged to attend tryouts so that the league can do the best job of balancing the teams!!!

All baseball divisions will travel around the valley to play teams from other leagues. Fruita Little League plays the following leagues:

Monument Little League (Grand Junction)
Grand Mesa Little League (Fruitvale area)
Orchard Mesa Little League
Palisade Little League.
Travel to CRV (Rifle) and Delta are also possible for a limited number of games in minors and above. These would typically be Saturday games.
Not all leagues and divisions will have interleague play every season. For example:
Fruita may not have Rookie boys play other leagues if we have enough teams to play only at home.
Monument often does not interleague many divisions due to having plenty of teams at home.
Delta often only has interleague play in Majors and above.
Other scenarios are possible as well.
