Just a note of thanks to Bryan Cross, outgoing Fruita LL President. Bryan has been terrific to work with. He was sincere and HELPFUL in addressing some of our trespass, trash and vandalism problems, and very effective in trying to curb the rock-throwing abuse of our animals.
We appreciate the respect that Fruita LL has shown regarding the noise ordinances of the Fruita Municipal Code 9.02...thanks to you, horn honking has never been the challenge that we feared it would, and we appreciate not broadcasting of the games. (We don't have the opportunity to 'go home and get away from the activity' because, well, we ARE home and deserve the rights, privileges and quality of life the Municipal Code is supposed to ensure for all propoerties in the Community residential zone.)
Again, thank you Bryan for being considerate and professional. We hope for a good working relationship with the next representative of Fruita LL.
(And from a woman who as a girl was NOT ALLOWED TO PLAY Little League because I was FEMALE -despite being able to out-field, out-hit and out-play boys who WERE allowed to play, may I applaud you providing athletic opportunities to GIRLS.)

Lots of good info here. While signing up my son I am thinking about the days when I played Little League and what a wonderful experience it was. |
